Jamie Orme MA Fine Art
Jamie has always enjoyed a mixture of creating imagery from various sources: from origin, from photograph, or from imagination. Some of the paintings from his collection are conceptual and so anatomical accuracy is not a significant concern. Most of Jamie's work is graphical and illustrative in nature, and he is driven by the challenge of capturing personality and narrative.
Originally born in Kirkcaldy, Jamie has spent many years transitioning homes. He spent most of his life in Linlithgow, and travelled to New Zealand for a year at the age of 18, then returning to live in Glasgow as he studied at The Tramway Visual Arts Studio. Jamie is currently in the third year of his Fine Art Masters degree at Edinburgh University. In the summer of 2017, he and his partner Katie Barron (DJcad) raised close to £1000 (incl. Gift Aid) for the Charity Scottish Association for Mental Health (SamH) in a 2000 mile long cycle trip from Bergen, Norway, to Marseilles, France.
Jamie has exhibited three times at The Line Gallery (Linlithgow), as well as exhibiting once at the Dok Gallery (Edinburgh), and has curated a successful solo exhibition at The Linlithgow Centre for Contemporary Arts (Linlithgow).

Health and Art
Jamie has suffered his entire life from the auto immune diseases Eczema, Asthma and Coeliac Disease. He has volunteered with and worked for Eczema Outreach Scotland. Jamie's full Eczema story was documented by the National Eczema Society back in 2014. He created a series of artworks in his final year of secondary school which have since been circulated around different eczema forums and websites including Itsan.org and these works have had incredibly emotive and respected responses from those who suffer from the same conditions. The artworks can be found below. If you suffer from these conditions, please feel free to use his Email contact for support. Click the link to National Eczema Society for Jamie's whole story.
